Arbitration Rules

When the parties to a contract have incorporated a clause to the effect that any dispute arising out of it shall be referred to The Sugar Association of London (sometimes referred to as the SAL) such dispute may be referred to the Association for settlement in accordance with the Rules Relating to Arbitration and the Arbitration Act 1996. The Association's Rules and arbitration procedures are conducted in accordance with English Law. However, where the parties have agreed a contract law other than English, the Association may, with the parties' agreement, decide the dispute.
